Ukrainian in a two-set duel defeated Spaniard Garcia-Perez
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur reached the 1/4 finals of the ITF tournament in the Spanish city Vitoria-Gasteitz.
The Ukrainian in a difficult duel prevailed over Georgina Garcia-Perez, representing Spain. The match lasted almost two hours. The first set ended with the score 6:3 in favor of Snigur. In the second, Daria did not convert a mat-point with a score of 6:5, but she turned out to be stronger than her rival in a tie-break – 7:4.
Snigur was seeded under the sixth number at the tournament in Spain. In the previous round, she managed to defeat her rival from Switzerland, Sebastian Schilipoti.
In the next round, Snigur will take on another Spaniard, fourth seeded Marina Bassols.
