Ukrainian synchronized swimmers won gold at the World Championships in Budapest

Ukrainian synchronized swimmers won gold medals in the free team combination at the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest.

For their performance, the Ukrainians scored 95.0333 points. The second place was taken by the athletes of the Japanese national team (93.5667), the top 3 was closed by the Italian team (92.0333).

In the technical program between mixed pairs, Giorgio Minisini and Lucrezia Ruggerio of Italy won with 89.2685 judges’ points. The silver of the tournament was won by the Japanese Tomoka and Yotaro Sato (86.5939), the bronze by the Chinese Shi Haoyu and Zhang Yiyao (86.4425).

The national teams of Russia and Belarus were not allowed to participate in the tournament by decision of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), which suspended representatives of these teams from competitions under its auspices due to the situation in Ukraine .
