Russian cyclists will not perform on the track at the World Championships in Glasgow due to UK entry requirements, the Russian national team head coach has told .
A number of Russian cyclists have been given neutral status, which allows them to compete, but, as Vyacheslav Ekimov, president of the Russian Cycling Federation, told earlier, the UK entry declaration contained elements unacceptable to riders.
– We do not have quotas in the Olympic events for the world championships. In non-Olympic sports, there were only a few disciplines we could apply for. The guys are served individually, not from the federation. As far as we know, the entry requirements were unacceptable,” Kovpanets said.
