The midfielder managed to play for Valmiera in the Champions League qualification
Bosnian midfielder Rifet Kapic moved to Lechia on lease. The player will play in the club from Gdansk at number 8.
The 28-year-old midfielder previously played for Kryvbas. In the summer, Valmiera bought the Bosnian’s contract. Kapic managed to play three matches for the Latvian club, including two Champions League qualifiers against Olimpia, which ended in two defeats for Valmiera.
Kapić made 23 appearances for Kryvbas, scoring six goals and providing two assists. The midfielder was named the team’s best player in the 2022/23 season.
Lechia finished last season in the penultimate place in the Polish Ekstrakljasa and were relegated to Division 1. In the first round, the Gdansk team will play Chrobry Glogow on 22 July.
