Irina won silver, Yaroslav won bronze
Ukrainian high jumpers Irina Gerashchenko And Yaroslav Maguchy together they climbed the podium of the stage Diamond League in Monaco.
Both Ukrainians took the same height of 1.96 meters. Irina was able to overcome the bar on the first try, which allowed her to win silver. Yaroslava took the height on the second attempt and eventually got bronze medal.
The winner was Nicola Olislagers from Australia, who cleared a height of 1.99 meters. Gerashchenko could not take the bar at this level. Maguchikh suffered a decisive attempt to a height of 2.01 meters, but did not cope with it. Another Ukrainian, Yulia Levchenko, took sixth place with a score of 1.93 meters.
Recall that Gerashchenko won the previous stage of the Diamond League in Chorzow, and Levchenko became the third. Both Ukrainians fulfilled the standard and won licenses for the 2024 Olympics. Yaroslava Maguchy missed the competition in Poland due to the cancellation of the flight that the athlete was supposed to fly.
