Igor Surkis: I hope that the fans will enjoy our good game and results next season

The President of Dynamo believes that the gathering of the team in Austria went very well

The president Dynamo Igor Surkis commented on the preparation of the team for the new season, as well as the return of winger Andriy Yarmolenko.

“This gathering went very well. I constantly communicate with the head coach and his assistants, everything goes according to plan. The team is in good condition – both psychologically and athletically. I hope that the fans will enjoy our good game and results next season,” said Surkis.

“Now I have arrived in the team and will be here until the end of the training camp, after which I will go to Kyiv with them. Last season we had a lot of difficult moves, flights, and I didn’t always even keep up with the team. This season, I hope, will be different. The main thing is that the guys-fans of Dynamo, who are fighting on the front line, are alive and well and rejoice at our victories.”

“A year ago I began to negotiate the return of Yarmolenko. And I liked that he did not refuse me. Andrei told me that returning to Dynamo is also his dream. Yarmolenko has a very good memory, he remembers very well who raised him. Not just like that, I told him: “Son, it’s time to go home.” It was from the heart. I believe that Yarmolenko will bring a lot of benefits to the team, and all the guys will progress by training and playing next to him.

At the summer training camp, Mircea Lucescu’s wards defeated Dynamo Bucharest (4:1), Cypriot Aris (4:0), Saudi Al-Hilal (1:0), defeated Austrian Wolfsberger (8:0) and Austria Klagenfurt (9:0), Slovenian Triglav (9:0) and Rudar (6:1), tied with Young Boys (3:3).

Dynamo finished fourth in the UPL standings and will play in the Conference League qualification. In the Ukrainian Premier League, the Kiev team will start on July 30 with a home match against Minai.
