Arum: Stevenson will have a big fight on Nov. 16 with Lomachenko or Haney

The fight is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend.

Promoter Bob Arum revealed that the former world featherweight and super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson his next fight will be against the ex-champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko or undisputed lightweight champion Devina Haney. The match is scheduled for November 16 in Las Vegas.

“Shakur is going to fight later this year in a big fight. Maybe it will be against Haney, maybe against Vasily Lomachenko. I don’t know, but the fight will take place.”

“Formula 1 will be on that weekend and people will be arriving very early to watch Grand Prix practice. This means there will be thousands of people in the city. We’ll make a good fight, we’ll sell him,” the promoter said.

Previously, the WBC confirmed Stevenson as the mandatory challenger for the title held by Haney. Devin is choosing between defending his lightweight belt and fighting for the light welterweight title held by Regis Prograis.

Shakur also challenged Vasily Lomachenko to the fight. The Ukrainian, in turn, wants a rematch with Haney. Lomachenko in his last fight lost to Devin in a duel for the title of undisputed world lightweight champion.
