Two cyclists who participated in an accident in the Chelyabinsk region have been discharged from the hospital

The head of the Chelyabinsk Region Cycling Federation, Igor Ivashin, told that two national team cyclists from the Sverdlovsk region injured in an accident had been discharged from hospital.

According to emergency services, an accident involving a logging truck and a car occurred on July 22 at the 13th kilometer of the Kyshtym-Beliye Egusty highway. The accident injured six people who were on the side of the road. They are members of the Sverdlovsk region cycling team and their coach. The victims were immediately sent to a hospital in the city of Kyshtym, in the Chelyabinsk region.

— The incident did not happen during the race itself. The car was parked on the side of the road. We had permission to go there. The timber carrier lost control and penetrated the team of the Sverdlovsk region; the race was in one place, the guys were standing in another. A total of six people were injured, two minors have already been taken away by their parents, two adults and one minor are in a hospital in Kyshtym. As the traumatologist said, the injuries were minor.
