The Australian team won the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay at the World Championships in Japan with a world record.

The Australian team (Molly O’Callaghan, Shayna Jack, Meg Harris and Emma McKeon) finished in 3 minutes 27.96 seconds. Team USA came second, 3.97 seconds behind the winners. The Chinese team finished in third place (+4.44).

Australian athletes updated their own world record, which was set at the 2020 Olympics in Japan – 3: 29.69.

The Aquatic World Championship is being held in Fukuoka, Japan and will end on July 30.
