Danish cyclist Wingegaard wins the Tour de France for the second consecutive year

Denmark’s Jonas Wingegaard of the Jumbo-Visma team won the multi-day Tour de France cycling race, which ended in Paris on Sunday.

During the 21st final stage of 115.1 km, arriving on the Champs-Élysées, the Belgian Jordi Meeus of Bora-hansgrohe won. Second place was taken by fellow countryman Jasper Philipsen of Alpecin-Deceuninck, and Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco Alula) of the Netherlands completed the top three.

Wingegor’s last overall time is 82 hours 5 minutes 42 seconds. The UAE Team Emirates runners, second and third, were the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (delay – 7 minutes 29 seconds) and the Briton Adam Yates (+10.56).

Vingegor is 26 years old and has won the Grande Boucle for the second consecutive year. In 2022, the Danish cyclist also won the Tour de France mountain classification.
