The third medal set for the blue-yellows at the continental championship
Women’s national team of Ukraine in fencing with swords, she got bronze in European Championship in Antalya.
In the fight for the medals, the Ukrainians managed to defeat Switzerland – 45:42. The key moment in the confrontation was the sixth duel, during which Vlada Kharkova defeated Laura Stahl with a score of 7:1 and managed to bring an advantage to her team.
In addition to Kharkiv, Yana Shemyakina, Yulia Svistil and Inna Brovko became European bronze medalists. Note that in team competitions this is the first blue-yellow award in the last 17 years.
In total, Ukraine has already obtained three sets of medals in Turkey. Earlier, the first medal in Turkey for the Ukrainian team was won by epee fencer Vlada Kharkova, who became the European champion. Also yesterday, the men’s team of Ukraine became the silver medalist in the saber competition.
The continental championship in Antalya will last until June 22.
