Three-time Olympic figure skating champion Irina Rodnina told that she knew nothing about the sale of her ex-husband and partner Alexander Zaitsev’s Olympic medal.
Previously, information appeared on the RR Auction website that Zaitsev’s medal from the 1980 Games in Lake Placid (USA) was sold for 93.7 thousand dollars. Zaitsev won the Olympics in a duet with Rodnina.
“I don’t know anything about the sale of Zaitsev’s medal. Questions to Zaitsev.

Zaitsev and Rodnina also won the 1976 Olympics in Innsbruck (Austria). From 1973 to 1980, the couple won all the competitions in which they participated.
