Romanchuk wins bronze at 2022 World Championships in 800m freestyle

The swimmer set a Ukrainian record

Ukrainian swimmer Mikhail Romanchuk Won a bronze medal at the World Aquatics Championships in the 800m freestyle.

Romanchuk was in the lead along the distance, but failed to keep the lead in the last 50 meters. The athlete was ahead of the champion of the Olympic Games in Tokyo Bobby Fincke and the German Florian Wellbrock.

Note that the swimmer set a new Ukrainian record at the same distance. Romanchuk improved his previous result (7:41.28) by more than a second.

For Ukraine, Mikhail’s medal was the fourth at the 2022 World Cup. Representatives of our country won the previous three awards in artistic swimming competitions.
