Russian figure skater Egor Murashov says he wants to return to competition, but for now he intends to develop into show direction and grow as an artist.
Now Murashov performs in Tatyana Navka’s ice show.
– To be honest, I had a problem in sports that prevents me from returning – it’s the regularity of training. I’ve been irresponsible at the moment, I haven’t attended all the practices for the week. If we talk about my performance, it was one hundred percent. That is to say, if I came, I worked. But the problem was attendance – I couldn’t go for a day or two. For example, something is going to hurt me and I couldn’t come.
Do I want to come back? Honestly, yes, I do. I didn’t show everything I wanted. I would like to get something else out of me. But for the moment, I can say that I want to go in the direction of the show and to grow as an artist, an actor. Now, what interests me the most is the shows, precisely to develop myself. I want to try different roles, if Tatyana Aleksandrovna Navka and Petr Andreevich Chernyshev, our choreographers Alexandra Rozanova and Nikita Mikhailov give me such an opportunity. I want me to study, study, study. Not to get stuck in a particular role, but to try something new that I’ve never done before,” Murashov told The Championship.
