Ukrainian swimmer made it to the semifinals of the World Championship in the 200m butterfly
Ukrainian swimmer Denis Kesil won a license for Olympics 2024 at the World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. This is the sixth Olympic license for Ukraine in swimming.
22-year-old Kesil completed the Olympic standard at a distance of 200 meters butterfly, having managed to overcome the distance in 1:55.75 minutes. At the same time, he made it to the semi-finals of his discipline.
Earlier, the composition of the Ukrainian national swimming team for the 2023 World Cup in Fukuoka, Japan, became known. Denis Kesil, two-time champion of Ukraine in the 100 and 200 m butterfly, became one of the six swimmers included in the application of our national team.
In total, this is already the 21st license for Ukraine for the 2024 Olympic Games. Our country will be represented in such disciplines as athletics (6), swimming (6), shooting (4), diving (2), boxing (1), modern pentathlon (1) and football (1).
