He considers himself a patriot and does not want to see his home country, Russia, simply disappear. Zhulin believes it is necessary to look at the situation more holistically and not limit oneself to narrow boundaries.
He also expressed his views on Ukraine and noted that for him it all sounded like a fairy tale about Malchish-Kibalchish. He saw parallels with the plot of the fairy tale, where red is Kibalchish (Russia) and Plokhish is Ukraine, which he believed sold gingerbread and jam, for the promise of wealth due to orientation to the West, especially the United States.
Alexander Zhulin also shared his experience of living and working in America. He noted that although he speaks good English, he dislikes American culture and feels connected to his native Russia.
