The design contains three markers: Equality, Water and Tranquility
Organizers Olympics 2024 presented an official torch future Games in Paris.
The design contains three markers: Equality, Water and Tranquility. “Equality” is expressed in symmetry and represents the Games in which, for the first time, an equal number of men and women will participate. “Water” is caused by the effects of landforms, implying the oceans, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Paris River Seine. “Pacification” (rounded shapes) means that the Games are a symbol of peace.
Recall that the Olympic flame is planned to be installed on one of the main attractions of Paris – the Eiffel Tower. The mascots of the Games were the Phrygian caps, which were called Phrygi.
Recall, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, opposed the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2024 Games. In turn, the head of the IOC, Thomas Bach, spoke about the desire to return athletes from these countries to international competitions “for the sake of uniting the whole world at the Olympic Games.” Bach said that a decision on the admission of Russians and Belarusians to the Olympics is planned to be made in October.
The opening ceremony of the Paris Games will take place on July 26, 2024. The closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympics will take place on August 11.
