Vernydub headed Kryvbas because he could not refuse the president of the club, who helped his unit in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – journalist

The human act of a coach

Mikhail Spivakovsky, host of the TaToTake program, told why Yuriy Vernidub accepted the invitation to head the Krivoy Rog club. The specialist officially led the team two days ago, signing a contract for three years.

According to Spivakovsky, Vernydub said in a conversation with him that he could not humanly refuse the President of Kryvbas Konstantin Karamanyts, who in difficult times helped the division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in which the coach served.

At the helm of Kryvbas, Vernydub replaced Oleksandr Babich, under whose leadership the Kryvyi Rih team reached the Ukrainian Premier League following the results of the last season.

Vernidub’s last club was Sheriff, with whom he won the Moldovan championship last year and advanced to the group stage of the Champions League. In Ukraine, the coach is known for his work with Zorya, who, under his leadership, took third place in the Premier League and played twice in the group stage of the Europa League.

In February, Vernydub returned to Ukraine and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine amid a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukrainian territories.
