Athletistic/Beach Football. For the first time in two years, the Russian men’s beach soccer team suffered two consecutive defeats. This event took place during the Games of the CIS countries held in Belarus.
In the last game of the group stage under the leadership of Mikhail Likhachev, our players were beaten 4-7 by the Oman team. And today, August 8, in the semi-finals of the Games, our Russians lost to Iran in a penalty shootout with the score 3:4.
It is important to note that the last time the Russians suffered two defeats in a row was in 2021 in the Euroleague. Then, on September 10, they lost to the Belarusian team (5:5, 2:4 on penalties) and the next day they were beaten by the Spanish team (5:6).
