Olympic figure skating champion Mark Kondratyuk said he felt nostalgic after coming to China to take part in Evgeni Plushenko’s ice show.
The show takes place in the arena where the ice hockey tournament took place during the 2022 Olympics.
– There are flashbacks of the Olympics, 100%. All those logos, rings, places that I saw from the bus window – all of this in the snap of a finger takes me back a year and a half. We play in the arena where the hockey players played. But I would really like to be at the stage where the figure skating took place. It seems to me that they will not let me in, but it will be possible at least to walk around.
From the fans, I receive warm and pleasant gifts here. Surprisingly, with each show, their number increases noticeably. Also, the number of times I am recognized on the street here is increasing.
