Dovbik: Dnepr-1 did not interfere with my transition to Girona

Artem signed a contract with the Catalan club until the summer of 2028

Newly minted forward Girona Artem Dovbik told the details of his transition to the Spanish club from Dnipro-1.

“I believed that the transition would take place. There was an agreement with the club that I would renew the contract, and the club would receive money for me. So I took some risk. Everyone thought that I would be in Dnipro-1 for a few more years, but the club, in principle, did not interfere with my transfer.”

“We have done everything. I kept my terms of the transfer, they kept theirs. Therefore, everyone is happy, everyone fulfilled their duties.

“The medical examination there is a bit different from ours. It took a long time, about 7-8 hours. Only on the MRI lay 2.5 or 3 hours. They looked at me from head to toe.”

The Ukrainian striker recently officially became a Girona player. Artem signed a contract with the Catalan club until the summer of 2028.

Dovbik made his debut for the Catalan club in a friendly against Lazio (2:1). One of Girona’s goals is on account of Artem’s compatriot, midfielder Viktor Tsygankov.

Girona will start the new La Liga season with an away match against Real Sociedad on 12 August.
