– How is it going with the head coach of the Russian national team Zoran Terzic?

– It is a pleasure to work with him. You can see the results of training with him, he says everything to the point, clearly. There is a high level of professionalism.

– In the absence of international matches, what is the importance of friendly matches with the Belarus team?

– It is very good that efforts are being made to develop our team. It’s a shame we don’t play international tournaments. But I believe that in a year or two we will be back. Either way, we’ll be back.

– This season, the Nations League and the European Championship – without the Russian team. How do you rate the importance of these tournaments without us?

– Of course, these tournaments are very inferior without the Russian team. Without us, the rivals lose a lot. A lot of new girls have appeared in our team, they would seriously strengthen our team now.

– Do you think the volleyball team will eventually be allowed in the Paris Olympics?

“I don’t know, but we will always be ready to go. If they let us, of course we will go,” Akimova told .

The Summer Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Russian national volleyball teams are not allowed to qualify for the Olympics.
