Inter announced the transfer of the goalkeeper Emil Audero from Sampdoria on a leasehold basis with an option to purchase.
Thus, the Milan club finally closed the goalkeeper’s position in a week. On August 7, Inter officially signed Jan Sommer from Bayern.
Audero was named among the targets of the Nerazzurri back in early July, when Anatoly Trubin was considered the priority choice for the No. 1 post of the Milanese giant.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper has been playing for Sampdoria since 2019. In the 2022/23 season, he played 23 matches, of which four were clean sheets. I haven’t played since March due to injury. At the end of the season, Sampdoria flew into Serie B from last place, gaining only 19 points.
Inter in the 2022/23 season finished 3rd in Serie A, and also reached the Champions League final, where they lost to Manchester City. In the first round of Serie A, the Nerazzurri will host Monza on August 19.
