Former Shakhtar winger signed a four-year contract
Galatasaray officially announced the transfer of the winger Tete. The contract was signed for four years with the option of a season extension. The player’s salary “net” will be 2.8 million euros per year.
Earlier it became known that the 23-year-old Brazilian has agreed a contract with the Turkish giant and will move in free agent status.
The football player’s contract with Shakhtar is valid until December 31, 2023, however, according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabunkuoglu, the agreement was terminated.
Previously, Fenerbahce refused to transfer Tete as a result of a “legal, financial and technical assessment”. Celtic and Napoli were also interested in the services of the Brazilian.
Last season, Tete played for two clubs on loan. The Brazilian spent the first part of the campaign as part of Lyon (19 matches, 6 goals and 5 assists). In January, the midfielder moved to Leicester, where he played 14 games, scoring one goal.
Galatasaray won the Turkish championship in 2023. The yellow-reds will play their next match on August 12 against Kayserispor.
