Lazio could sign Lloris

The French goalkeeper does not mind moving to a Champions League club

Lazio negotiating with the goalkeeper Tottenham Hugo Lloris. The Frenchman himself is interested in a new challenge.

Recall that at the beginning of the summer, 36-year-old Lloris announced his desire to leave Spurs and “try something else.” The London club are also open to parting ways with the goalkeeper, given his age and contract expiring in 2024.

Lloris has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid, but Ancelotti wants to bet on Sevilla’s Yassin Buna. Fiorentina and Al-Hilal also approached the ex-goalkeeper of the French national team. However, Hugo rejected these options. He would still like to play at the Champions League level, so he favorably evaluates the option with Lazio.

The French goalkeeper has made 447 appearances in all competitions for 11 years with Tottenham.

Lloris made 31 appearances for Spurs in 2022/23, conceded 45 goals and kept nine clean sheets. The goalkeeper missed the remainder of the season due to a thigh injury he sustained in the 1-6 draw against Newcastle United.

Tottenham will kick off the new season with an away match against Brentford on 13 August. Lazio a week later in the first round of Serie A will go to visit Lecce.
