Ukrainian striker scored a goal in the first official match for the new team
Head coach Girona Michel commented on the official debut of the Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbik for the Spanish team. The striker scored a goal in the match of the 1st round of Examples with Real Sociedad (1:1), coming on as a substitute in the second half.
“Dovbik is in the process of adapting to the city, the language, the team… Today he played 30 good minutes and Stuani played 60 exceptional minutes, exhausting himself. They both provided the team with the goal they were trying to find,” Michel said.
Dovbik became the first Ukrainian in the Example, who scored a goal from the transfer of his compatriot. Artyom was assisted by midfielder Viktor Tsygankov.
This was Dovbik’s first official match for Girona. In early August, Artem moved to the Spanish team from Dnepr-1.
In the next round, Girona will host Getafe on August 20. The beginning is at 18:30 Kyiv time.
