– Ukraine tried to blackmail the world community with their country’s non-participation in competitions, but by this they punished their athletes. I think it’s the right decision – let them do it. Strange were the demands of Ukrainian sports shareholders not to communicate with Russian athletes, not to shake hands with them, not to finance athletes who participated in Russian competitions. Now they realized those decisions were pointless,” Svishchev said in an interview with SE.
