President of the Russian Diving Federation Stanislav Druzhinin expressed his condolences on the death of two-time European champion Vladimir Timoshinin, calling the incident a heavy loss for all representatives of this sport in Russia.
Timoshinin died suddenly at the age of 53.
– This is a very heavy loss for Russian diving and, above all, for loved ones. We have lost a good man and a great professional. He died suddenly. There were no obvious health issues. My sincere condolences to the family, we will provide all the necessary support,” Druzhinin told .
Timoshinin worked as a coach towards the end of his career. His daughter Yulia Timoshinina is a member of the Russian national team, she is the winner of the World Cup.
