Wrestler Priymachenko brought Ukraine the first medal at the 2023 World Junior Championships

20-year-old athlete won silver

Team of Ukraine won the first medal in World Championship 2023 U-20 Wrestlingwhich takes place in Jordanian Amman.

Got the Silver Award Ivan Priymachenko, acting in the category up to 97 kilograms. On the way to the final, the Ukrainian defeated three rivals, including the Belarusian Vladislav Kozlov, who played in a neutral status. Note that after the fight, Ivan did not shake hands with the Belarusian athlete, which was approved by the UWW.

In the final, Priymachenko lost to Iranian Abolfazi Babal. Ivan failed to score a single point, losing with a score of 0:5.

On Wednesday, Vladimir Kochanov (weight category 125 kg) will fight in the bronze final of the tournament. Youth World Cup 2023 in Amman will last until August 20.

In autumn, the Ukrainian national team will compete at the 2023 World Wrestling Championship. The competition will be held in Belgrade from 16 to 24 September.
