“This time in Chelyabinsk I felt very strong support from the public” – Polina Knoroz

Pole vault champion of Russia Polina Knoroz in an interview with , she spoke about the incredible public support during the Russian championship held in Chelyabinsk in August.

On August 4, Knoroz became the champion of Russia, breaking the bar at a height of 4.62 meters. Second place was taken by Aksana Gataullina (4.55), third – by Tatyana Kalinina (4.55).

– The season is coming to an end. And after? Where to rest?

– I want to come to St. Petersburg. I don’t need anything else.

– Is Moscow getting so stronger?

‘Yes, I hate this Moscow. Therefore, Timur and I will spend a family vacation – we will spend time with relatives, first with mine, then with his. We will rest for a few weeks and then we will start preparing for the winter season.

– Just two weeks? How can you relax during this time after such a season?

That’s enough time for me to restart.

– Not afraid to drive yourself?

– No, I feel fine. It happens that during the season it’s hard for me, the work routine bothers me. At such times, I need a few days to visit my family and friends. After that I was back to normal.

– It is surprising that you designated St. Petersburg as a place of recreation, and not a resort.

– Of course, I would like to go to the sea. To Italy, for example. But everyone understands what the situation is now, so we will go to St. Petersburg and Chelyabinsk, because Timur is from here.

“Do you like Chelyabinsk?”

– No. In fact, I feel better now. Before, I was jumping badly here, I couldn’t win in any way, it didn’t suit me. But now it’s better.

– But here at least there are people in the bleachers, they support you.

It’s cool, I agree. I like. This time I felt a very powerful support. We are all delighted. It is very motivating and pushes to show cool results, – said Knoroz “”.
