The Athletics Integrity Unit Disciplinary Tribunal has found the 100m hurdles world record holder to be a Nigerian Toby Amusan did not violate anti-doping rules, his provisional suspension has been lifted, the IAU said in a statement.
In July it emerged that Amusan had been charged with missing three doping tests in 12 months.
IAU chief Brett Cloutier said the organization was disappointed with the decision.
“The IAU will consider its justification in detail before deciding whether or not to exercise its right of appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS),” Cloutier said.
Amusan set the world record for the 100m hurdles at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, USA, covering the distance in 12.12 seconds. At the Tokyo Olympics, the Nigerian came fourth.
