Figure skater Drobyazko answered whether she would attend a committee meeting in Lithuania to strip her of citizenship

Figure skater Margarita Drobyazko told that she was not yet aware of her possible participation in a meeting of the Citizenship Affairs Commission under the leadership of the President of Lithuania, where the issue of deprivation of the athlete’s citizenship will be reviewed.

In June, the President of the Seimas of Lithuania, Victoria Cmilyte-Nielsen, in an interview with local media, said that the procedure to revoke Drobiazko’s citizenship had indeed been initiated. The reason for this is the participation of the figure skater in the Tatiana Navka show. Earlier, the office of the Lithuanian President announced that Drobyazko had received an invitation to a meeting of the commission on the issue of deprivation of citizenship.

– Will you attend the meeting?

“I don’t know yet, I don’t know anything,” Drobyazko told .

Drobiazko was born in Moscow, but after the collapse of the USSR she started playing for Lithuania in a duet with Povilas Vanagas. Together they won bronze at the World Championships. Drobyazko participates in five Olympic Games.
