Ilya Chkurenev became the winner of the decathlon competition at the final of the Queen of Russian Sports athletics series, which is held in Yekaterinburg.
He scored 7839 points. The second was Evgeny Sarantsev (7811), the third – Arseniy Elfimov (7500).
In the javelin throw, Boris Bezdolny became the best, throwing a projectile 80.47 meters. Silver went to Alexei Kotkovets (77.30), bronze to Dmitry Tarabin (77.21).
In the long jump, Yuri Ozhgibesov excelled with the best attempt at 7.91 meters. The second was Danil Chechela (7.85), the third – Artem Chermoshansky (7.84).
Ivan Fedorov was the best in the 400m hurdles (48.64 seconds). Vadim Kukalev came second (49.78), Timofey Chaly third (49.95).
In the women’s 400 metres, Polina Miller won with a time of 50.86 seconds. She was ahead of Veronika Arkhipova (52.11) and Anna Sadovnicheva (52.48).
