Figure skating coach Dmitry Kromin told that the 17-year-old skater Nikolai Ugozhaev fulfilled his duties during the junior team trial skates.
The skating for junior single skaters took place in Novogorsk from August 14 to 18. Ugozhaev trains under Khromin at Tamara Moskvina’s club.
– We are now returning from the rentals of the Russian junior team. The first two days were dedicated to training, where judges and specialists reviewed the athletes’ new programs and elements, rotation levels and step sequences, and made their own adjustments. Then the rental program.
Nikolai looked very dignified, everyone noted both his new programs and his progress in the elements. In the free skate he showed a clean quad flip and quad lutz, so all is well, as expected. We are going home and from Monday we will continue to prepare for the new season, Kromin told .
Ugozhaev is the winner of the Panin-Kolomenkin Memorial and the bronze medalist of the Russian-Chinese Youth Games.
