High Jump World Championship Silver Medal Danil Lyssenko told that he does not believe in admitting Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

On Thursday, World Athletics Association (World Athletics) President Sebastian Coe said athletes from Russia and Belarus were unlikely to compete in the 2024 Olympics. Coe noted that the board of World Athletics did not plan to reconsider its position regarding the admission of athletes from these countries to the competition.

“I can’t believe we’re going to Paris anymore. I hope our people can organize something of their own, like the BRICS Games. Let there be more competition than there. Let them watch,” Lyssenko told .

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has not yet taken a final decision on the possible admission of athletes from Russia and Belarus to the Olympic Games in the French capital.
