Our volleyball players won a confident victory in three sets
Ukrainian women’s volleyball team won the first victory at the European Championship 2023. In three sets, our compatriots beat the Hungarian team.
The first batch was relatively easy for Ivan Petkov’s wards. The Ukrainians immediately took the lead and brought things to a comfortable advantage – 25:17. In the second set, the Hungarians took the lead 6:1, but did not keep the advantage, and as a result, the scales swung to the Ukrainian side – 26:24.
The Ukrainians were stronger in the third installment as well. The Hungarian team clung to the result, but their rivals turned out to be stronger – again 25:17.
Thanks to this victory, Ukraine has risen to fourth place out of six in Group A. Ahead of the Petkov team are matches against Belgium (August 21), Slovenia (23) and Poland (24).
