Sharan: If we don’t score, we are already waiting to concede. And so it happened

Minai’s mentor criticized the quality of the players’ play in the match against Metalist 1925

Head coach Minaya Vladmir Sharan commented on the defeat of his team by Metalista 1925 in the 3rd round of the championship of Ukraine.

“In a bad game, we created a lot of opportunities. It’s a pity that Serhiy Panasenko, a constructive midfield player, was injured before the break. Of course, the game in the attack, constructive actions – horror. In defense, they still more or less acted. To win or at least not lose, you need to score first. Unfortunately, we didn’t score.”

“We were preparing that Odaryuk would come on as a substitute, but we didn’t think it would be so early. In principle, it did not change anything tactically. We made a substitution at half-time and started playing 5-4-1.”

“Created chances that you just need to realize. If we don’t score, we’re already waiting to concede. And so it happened. A good game was not enough to score points.”

Recall that Minai lost minimally to Metalist 1925 Kharkiv in the match of the 4th round of the UPL (0:1).

After this defeat, the Transcarpathian club with one point settled on the last, 16th position in the standings. On August 27, Vladimir Sharan’s team will host Zorya.
