The athlete completed the Olympic standard at a distance of 20 kilometers
Ukrainian Elena Sobchuk won a license for Olympic Games 2024 in Paris at race walking.
The athlete took tenth place in the 20 km walk at the 2023 World Championships. Elena’s result was 1 hour 28 minutes and 50 seconds. The Ukrainian was half a minute ahead of the required Olympic standard.
Another Ukrainian athlete, Lyudmila Olyanovska, took 11th place in the competition. Her result was 16 seconds behind the Olympic standard.
The world championship takes place in the capital of Hungary from 19 to 27 August. The national team of Ukraine at the competition is represented by 29 athletes.
