Zaporozhye Motor beat Odessa and became the owner Super Cup of Ukraine-2023 in handball. The fight took place in the Kiev Palace of Sports.
Odessa confidently won the first half with an advantage of seven goals (27:20), but Evgeny Marchenko’s team failed to keep the winning score.
In the second half of the meeting, Motor made an impressive comeback and won the final victory with a difference of eight goals – 45:37.
Yuriy Kubatko (Motor) became the most productive player of the Ukrainian Super Cup with 18 goals.
The winner of the Women’s Super Cup of Ukraine-2023 was Galician, who defeated the Uzhhorod Carpathians (34:27).
Recall that in the summer the head coach Gintaras Savukinas and a number of players left Motor. Mykola Stepanets became a new mentor.
