Five Ukrainian tennis players entered the main draw of the US Open
Six representatives of Ukraine will perform in the qualification US Open 2023. In the men’s selection bracket will play Vitaly Sachko And Alexey Krutykhin the female grid – Dayana Yastremskaya, Daria Snigur, Katharina Zawatskaya And Julia Starodubtseva.
Sachko in the first round of qualifying will play against the Italian Raul Brancaccio. Krutykh’s opponent is US Open-2017 finalist Kevin Anderson from South Africa. For Vitaly and Alexey, this will be their debut performance at the US Open.
Yastremskaya at the start of the selection will meet with the British Heather Watson. Snigur will play with another British representative, Yuriko Lily Miyazaki.
Zavatskaya will face Ana Bondar from Hungary in the first round. Starodubtseva will make her Grand Slam qualifier debut against Celine Nef of Switzerland.
Five Ukrainian tennis players – Elina Svitolina, Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk, Lesya Tsurenko and Kateryna Beindl – were included in the application list of the US Open 2023 main draw.
The US Open will run from August 28 to September 10. The US Open 2023 prize pool will be $65 million.
