Kostomarov appeared on the ice during the show in Sochi

Athletistic/Figure Skating. Olympic figure skating champion Roman Kostomarov took part in Ilya Averbukh’s show “Letters of Love”, which took place in Sochi. At the start of the performance, Kostomarov’s wife, world champion Oksana Domnina, performed on ice. However, during the performance, Roman stepped onto the ice in sneakers and gently hugged his wife to thunderous applause from the audience. In this issue, a deeply moving story was told about a man’s return to life out of love for a woman.

Kostomarov continues to actively return to normal life after a long hospital stay and several amputations. The athlete was hospitalized on January 10, 2023 for a severe form of pneumonia. After complications caused by the disease, he faces limb necrosis. Kostomarov had to have his arms and legs amputated. After the prosthetic legs stage, he began training in the hospital, where he spent 175 days of treatment, after which he was discharged on July 6. In the future, he will also have prosthetic hands.
