Kostomarov continues to actively return to normal life after a long hospital stay and several amputations. The athlete was hospitalized on January 10, 2023 for a severe form of pneumonia. After complications caused by the disease, he faces limb necrosis. Kostomarov had to have his arms and legs amputated. After the prosthetic legs stage, he began training in the hospital, where he spent 175 days of treatment, after which he was discharged on July 6. In the future, he will also have prosthetic hands.
