Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Recently, Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova visited China. She was invited to the international ice conference The Belt and Road, as well as the youth figure skating and ice hockey tournament The Chen Lu Cup. Shcherbakova shared her impressions of her trip.
“To say I was thrilled is an understatement. It’s hard to find words to describe my experience. I felt like a rock star on tour. She didn’t even realize the reality of what was happening. I was so impressed with everything from the first seconds, starting with the meeting at the airport, where an incredible number of fans arrived. And so on, every day. And after the show they threw an incredible amount of toys on the ice, I experienced that for the first time. When I stood in the center, and thousands of toys flew from all sides, even tears came to my eyes from an overabundance of emotions, – RIA Novosti quoted Shcherbakova as saying.
