All participants identified 1/8 finals of the Cup of Ukraine 2023/24. The draw for this stage will take place on August 31, starting at 12:00.
Today, August 23, 8 matches of the fourth preliminary stage of the national cup took place. According to its results, Polissya, Obolon, Veres, Rukh, Metallist 1925, Chernomorets, as well as representatives of the lower divisions of FSK Mariupol and Victoria (Sumy) advanced to the 1/8 finals. They knocked out, respectively, representatives of the UPL Kolos and LNZ.
The strongest clubs of the Premier League following the results of the last season will join the mentioned eight at the 1/8 final stage: Shakhtar, SC Dnipro-1, Zorya, Dynamo, Vorskla, Oleksandriya, Kryvbas and Mynay.
The current holder of the Ukrainian Cup is Dynamo, which in the final of 2021 minimally beat Zorya. In the 2021/22 season, the tournament was completed ahead of schedule at the 1/4 final stage due to the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.
In the 2022/23 season, the Ukrainian Cup was not played due to the busy schedule of the Ukrainian championship, matches of the national team and the participation of Ukrainian clubs in European competitions.
