Ukrainian woman fulfilled the qualification standard on the first attempt
Ukrainian athlete Marina Bekh-Romanchuk reached the final of the triple jump World Championships in Athleticswhich is currently taking place in Budapest.
From the very first attempt, the athlete jumped 14.55 meters, breaking the required qualification standard by 25 centimeters.
Together with Marina, another Ukrainian started in the qualification – Maria Siney. With three attempts, she could not jump further than 13.38 meters and eventually did not get into the top 12.
The final competition in the women’s triple jump will take place on 25 August.
Recall that earlier Bekh-Romanchuk at the 2023 World Cup failed to break into the finals of the long jump. She did not count any of the three attempts. Subsequently, the spade on the second attempt was protested by the Ukrainian side, but to no avail.
The world championship takes place in the capital of Hungary from 19 to 27 August. The national team of Ukraine at the competition is represented by 29 athletes.
