Figure skater Knyazhuk told how he trained in the countryside between beds during a pandemic

Figure skater Ilya Kniajouk speaking in tandem with Natalia Khabibullina, told how their training went during the pandemic.

Khabibullina and Knyazhuk started skating as a duo in 2019.

– We were less lucky, we had no ice cream. We only managed to organize three training sessions in Izhevsk, after which the rink was closed. We started going to the stadium, but soon closed it as well. We moved into Natasha’s parents’ summer cottage. In March, the mud is everywhere, and we form supports between the beds. After winning the Russian junior championship, the couple turned to adult skating and won one of the stages of the Russian Grand Prix.
