Athletistic/ Figure Skating. As before, no decision has been made in the case of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva. It is now being examined by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Team USA has requested a seat for their representative at the Valieva hearing. This was stated by Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Svetlana Zhurova.
– First of all, the American team is an interested party, it is extremely important for them to end this matter. I believe that the CAS, which has always been considered an independent tribunal in its decisions on athletes, should not allow them to be heard. Ultimately, it’s not just that the names of the referees haven’t been released yet, even though the panel has been set up for a long time, Zhurova said as quoted by TASS.
