CAS Responds to Team USA’s Request to Provide Seating at Valieva Case Hearing

Down-the-line.com / Figure Skating. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has announced that it has registered the appeal of the American figure skating team in the case of Russian Kamila Valieva. Previously, members of the American team, which participated in the 2022 Olympics, requested a place for their representative at the auditions for the Russian figure skater.

“We confirm that the letter from the US figure skating team has been registered by the CAS office. The response will be sent to the team in due course,” RIA Novosti said, citing a CAS representative.

Valuev spoke about the desire of the American team to attend the hearings on the Valieva case

In December 2021, Valieva tested positive for trimetazidine – this came to light during the February 2022 Olympic Games. Hearings in this case will take place from September 26 to 29.
