Averbukh considers Russian figure skaters Zagorski and Gureiro’s decision to end their mature careers

Famous Russian trainer and choreographer Ilya Averbukh called the decision of mature Russian skaters Tiffany Zagorsky and Jonathan Gureiro end a career.

Earlier, reported that Russian dancing couple Tiffany Zagorski/Jonathan Gureyro have no plans to continue their professional careers.

— I think it’s a mature decision. The guys had quite a successful career. They went to the Olympics. It probably didn’t work out the way they expected. But in any case, their dances were brilliant. They had many fans. I wish them good luck in their future incarnation in life. Again, I will say the guys are bright and creative. I want them to meet again. I think the decision is absolutely correct and logical, – said Averbukh “Championship”.

Off-season Gureyro, 31, has taken over as manager of the sport, plans for Zagorski, 27, are currently unknown.

Zagorski previously represented France, Gureyro played for Australia as a child. Zagorski and Gureyro teamed up in 2014. As a member of the Russian national team, Zagorski/Gureiro won the Grand Prix stages four times and the national championship three times.
