Bogdan Tsymbal became ninth, Ruslan Tkalenko – 16th
Ukrainian biathlete Artem Tishchenko won a bronze medal in super sprint in the summer World Cup 2023 in biathlon.
The Ukrainian went through all four firing lines without a miss. At the finish, he lost 13 seconds to the winner Andrejs Rastorguevs from Latvia, finishing in third place. Tomas Mikiska from the Czech Republic came second.
Bogdan Tsymbal finished ninth with three misses. Ruslan Tkalenko showed the 16th result.
Recall that earlier Ukrainians Oleksandra Merkushina and Olena Gorodnaya together climbed the podium in the women’s junior super sprint. In a similar race for men, silver was brought to Ukraine by Sergey Suprun. In the women’s super sprint on Friday, the best among Ukrainians was Daria Blashko, who took seventh place.
The 2023 Summer Biathlon World Cup takes place in Slovakia from 24 to 27 August. Competitions will continue on Saturday with sprint races.
