An Argentine athlete, Auca Sosa, hit her head during training at the Palace of Aquatic Sports in Yekaterinburg and therefore missed the competition, reports the press service of the festival.
At the time of the injury, the employees of the medical department of the festival, as well as the ambulance station of the city of Yekaterinburg, immediately came to the aid of the girl. The athlete was promptly taken to the No. 1 Regional Clinical Hospital for further examination and treatment. For several days, Auka was under the supervision of doctors.
The athlete has already returned to the festival village. She feels good.
— Of course, it was unpleasant because of everything that happened, but I really liked the festival. There is a great atmosphere here, especially in the sports village. Since the first day. My impressions are only good. It’s a shame that it all happened like this, but in sport it happens. This is my first time in Russia. It is an incredibly beautiful country. We went to the center of Yekaterinburg, walked around. I would really like to come back here,” Sosa said.
